Privacy policy

This page explains what information we collect when you use iHandleIt (ihandleit.net), what we do with it, and how to contact us about it. In plain language, with no hidden clauses.
Who we are
iHandleIt is operated by the site owner. For privacy questions, email hello@ihandleit.net.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to run our tools.
- What you type into a tool form — the name of a loved one, a memory, a tone choice. We use this to generate the result and store it attached to the generation record so you can read it again.
- Your email address — collected only at the moment you buy credits or request a sign-in link. Used to attach credits to your account, send your results, and email you a one-click sign-in link when you come back.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider. We never see your card number. We see only the order confirmation.
- Standard server logs — IP address, browser type, and pages requested. Retained briefly for security and debugging; not tied to your email unless something goes wrong.
- Anonymous page counts — via Plausible Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify individuals.
We do not ask for your postal address, phone number, or any other detail we don't need.
How we use it
- To generate the result you asked for.
- To attach credits to your email and remember your purchases.
- To send you your result for safekeeping and email you a sign-in link when you return.
- To process payments securely through our payment provider.
- To keep the service secure and running.
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We do not send marketing email. We do not use your form input to train AI models for anyone else.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum needed with a small number of trusted service providers. Each has their own privacy policy that you can review.
- Supabase — hosts our database and handles sign-in. Stores your email, credit balance, and generation records.
- Lemon Squeezy — processes your payment and handles sales tax and VAT as our merchant of record.
- Anthropic, OpenAI, Google — the AI providers whose models write your result. The form inputs you provide are sent to whichever provider powers that tool. These providers have their own data-use policies and generally do not train on API content by default.
- Resend — sends transactional emails (your result, receipts).
- Plausible Analytics — aggregated pageview counts. No cookies, no personal data.
- Vercel — hosts the website.
How long we keep it
We keep your credit balance and purchase history for as long as you have an account with us. We keep the results we generate for you indefinitely so you can re-read them, unless you ask us to delete them. Anonymous server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of everything we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@ihandleit.net from the email address associated with your account. We'll respond within 30 days.
Users in the UK and EU have rights under GDPR; users in California have rights under CCPA; users in other regions have their own local rights. In every case the email route above is how to exercise them. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Cookies
We use one technical cookie to remember that you're signed in after you click a magic link. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. We do not share cookie data with advertising networks.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us information, please email us and we'll delete it.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are not used — sign-in happens via one-time email links. Our service providers are industry-standard in their security posture. No service on the internet is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is material, email registered users before it takes effect.
